Happy Halloween. Here's a pic of the family's pumpkins. And don't ask me how I got the picture to look like we're actually sending out the bat signal. Sometimes things just work out the way they're supposed to.

How fun, who is in "the family?" And this makes me excited for next year, do we have a family Halloween carving night that I've never been invited to? Oh, the joys of moving near family!
In this case it was my other family, the Ewells. But I'm all about pumpkin carving, and would be happy to have two carving nights.
So you went to the Ewell's? Who was that girl of mine who called and said she was coming over here to hang out Halloween evening? I made that pumpkin, sausage, yam and kale soup and waited for you to come, but you didn't show up. So we ate soup alone late in the evening.
