Craft for the Road
So remember how I said I wanted to learn how to embroider? Well my sweet and talented mother, from whom I have learned pretty much everything, said she would teach me. I embroidered some little baby shirts for my sister who's expecting her third boy. I just found images on the Internet that I liked, printed them in the size I wanted, and traced the image onto the shirt using a washable marker. Then I just followed the lines using the stitches my mom taught me. I learned in the car on the way to Waterton, and actually did two of the three in the car on the way home. I'm definitly a beginer, but it was fun to learn, and I think they turned out pretty good.

Hey, those turned out really cute. Do you know what the stitches were called? I've backstitched sayings onto pillows, but I like those little shirts. Great job! :)
very cute Ange, I really like the giraffe.

The two stiches my mom named were backstitching and satin stitching. I'm not sure which is which, though.
those are way cute!!! i have had some real trouble lately with backstitching, because i have no idea how to do it.
I love the hippo one. Good job Ang. Maybe once you perfect that, you add those to your Etsy shop.
