Been a While

'Member how I used to blog? Yeah, then I just stopped for months! Lame, I know. I've been doing a lot of thinking about making, but just not getting around to the actual making part. Some things I've been thinking about making...

Bakerella's Pillow Cookies (brownie and chocolate chip cookie all in one? Yes, Please!)

Home made basil pesto, with my home grown basil, which hasn't died! I'm not the best at keeping plants alive, but the Rock Star pretty much tends the garden, so this stuff is thriving.

I am in LOVE with these overalls. The print, the bow, the ruffles on the bottom? C'mon! I want to try and copy them. Mom, you may be getting some sewing related phone calls soon.

I'm also feeling so inspired by all the upcycling people are doing in the blog world, turning old and boring clothes into new and fabulous clothes. I have a few pieces set aside that will hopefully get a make-over soon. In the mean time, here are links to some of my favorites

1. Katies Scandalous to Fabulous Skirt

2. Ashley's Stained Shirt turned Shrug

3. Katie's Liberty Shirt Turned Skirt

4. Jess's Floral Refashion

5. Nancy's T-shirt Skirt

If I had $600...

I would like to start by saying that I think the stimulus package plan is stupid and a very short term boost to something that will take years to get back to where we were. That being said, my husband and I fall in the lucky tax bracket that gets a check. We were musing what we would spend the $1200 ($600 each) on, if paying bills were not an option. Here are a couple of my ideas.

1. Nice, New clothes.

2. Nice, New Shoes

3. Fun vacation. I'm one of those people who likes the idea of going anywhere I haven't gone before, so the possibilities for this one are endless. However, all of our work leave will be taken up with family reunion's in the summer, so I don't know how viable this option is.

In the end...we'll probably pay some bills. Fun, huh?

Note: All clothes and shoes from Anthropologie.

Oooooh, Aaahhh!

I found this lovely porcelain wear via Design*Sponge and had to share:

Aren't they pretty? It's a company called Mud Australia, and they are of course, located in Australia, but it looks like they sell their products all over the world. They come in a variety of colors. It says they sell them in a place called Cielo Home in Paradise Valley. Any of you AZ people heard of it? I might have to check it out when I'm down for Thanksgiving.

I am Jealous of...

Gwyneth Paltrow's Kitchen

and the rest of her house too, but mostly the kitchen.
